You’ve Established Breastfeeding, What Now.png

Once we've established breastfeeding, we can start to find ourselves navigating other elements of our parenting journey that seem wrapped up in our feeding journey. For example, how does a mother get a break when we always have to be around to feed? Or, how do we know our baby is getting everything they need when we don't always understand the changing composition of our breastmilk? Are we meant to be supplementing with vitamins? And what happens when solids are introduced? These are all common questions that can come up for parents, including the big topics of sleep and weaning from the breast.

If you want to know the answers to these questions, come listen to me discuss the basics of what you need to know; what is normal for babies and what you can expect of an established breastfeeding journey.

This 90 minute webinar will give you the context to be able to make informed decisions around raising your breastfed baby with confidence.

Breastfeeding is Established, What Now?

What content will be covered:

Mother's Nutrition

We'll discuss the optimal diet for breastfeeding, to maintain nutritious milk for your baby, and also discuss whether you need to take supplements for your own health.

Getting A Break from the Baby

We'll explore how a breastfeeding mother might be able to get a break, if you're solely responsible for feeding and comforting your little one, especially if your baby won't take a bottle of milk.

Infant Nutrition & Immunity

We'll cover whether breastmilk is enough to maintain good health for your developing baby and whether you need to supplement them with additional foods/vitamins.

How do Babies Wean

We'll discuss how a baby's feeding pattern changes over the breastfeeding journey, and what it might look like should you decide to follow their lead or wean them off earlier, and led by you.

Normal Infant Sleep

We'll look at what you can expect of normal infant sleep and how you can minimise disruption in the night and maximise your own sleep while still supporting your baby's development.

Setting Boundaries

Setting boundaries can be done from very early, if a baby is met with developmentally appropriate boundaries. We'll cover boundaries vs. rules and explore what you might be able to implement now.
